The 4th Congress for the Eradication of Sexist Violence against Women in Social and Health Services was organised by the Associació Hèlia, together with the SEPC Clínic, the Commission on Intrafamilial and Gender Violence at Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, the Centre for Health Analysis and Programmes (CAPS) and the Xarxa de Dones per la Salut (“Women’s Health Network”), in cooperation with Health Work Committees (Palestine), the University of Barcelona and the Institut de les Desigualtats (“Inequality Institute”) and with the support of Barcelona City Council and the Catalan Government’s Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation.
The 4th Congress took place online on 30 November and 1-3 December 2020, from 6 pm to 8 pm. It was streamed in Catalan, Spanish and English. We offered a programme full of speakers and interventions by great professionals with which we provided comprehensive quality training especially aimed at students and professionals in the social and healthcare sectors to ensure effective interventions for women’s rights. The contents of the Congress were also aimed at the general public.
Participation was free and subsidised.
