Veïnes per Veïnes

2008 - Present

Veïnes per Veïnes “Women Neighbours for Women Neighbours”) is a community network made up of groups of professional and volunteer women who act as active agents to achieve neighbourhoods free of violence against women. The project aims to form and coordinate groups of women to raise local awareness while also supporting women neighbours affected by sexist violence against women in their recovery process from a perspective of community empowerment. Based on appropriate training and follow-up by professionals, volunteers provide support during the processes that women survivors of sexist violence go through: accompanying them to court, to visits with lawyers, on medical visits, during administrative procedures, to social services and all along the often difficult path that must be followed to repair the harm received.
